Interesting concept, but I think the self-preservation instinct is too strong for career politicians and politicos to give themselves up.  And immunity...I have a fundamental problem with that.  This whole charade was successful because of the complicity of a bunch of power-mongering sycophants and money-grubbing deviants.  Letting them off in exchange for immunity just keeps the door open for this kind of behavior to continue.  Not that I have any illusions that prosecutions will stop political opportunism and corruption, but no need to provide incentive.

Clinton's lies to protect himself about a bj will be nothing compared to the lies that will be made to protect the current batch of elected and appointed weasels from the consequences of their deceptions and corruption.  Libby's swiss-cheese memory will be the template for months and months of testimony to come.
