&, at a party, I’d be one to defend your right to your opinion, as I am duly bound as an American citizen to do just that. …But the idea that one can dig an artist’s music while shunning the philosophy, the character, the core being that drives her/his muse ~ when said music is so rapt with the depth of those viewpoints ~ is just so absurd that it warrants all sorts of nasty metaphorical imagery & retribution.
