There's also the few slight but important details that A: There were no email trails like the ones that Gonzales, Sampson, Miers, and Rove left for us to follow; B: The US Attorney that was pursuing the Clinton malfeasances later confessed to taking money and favors from notorious Arkansas billionaire lunatic R Mellon Scaife, as were members of Clinton's own security staff. He was dead right to fire that guy. and C: He did not fire his own appointees for "poor performance" short months after they received stellar performance reviews. You can huff and puff and hold your fingers in your ears and sing "Onward Christian Soldier" all you want. But I think these last two or three weeks have gone a long way towards preventing a tragic and disastrous and unnecessary war. Maybe you find that depressing. I think it's very good news.
