Actually, that's a valid and disturbing possible scenario, you point out, Pat and one that has worried me for some time. Iran is clearly a potential threat to world security, and they're starting to smell more each day (kinda like the thing that's rotting in your fridge that you can't find right away). They could invade Iraq (not at all far-fetched). As usual, the US has gone after the wrong guy (they've done this repeatedly throughout history, and backed the "wrong" governments as well). That being said, it's in some ways too late to pull out of Iraq entirely. Probably the best course of action would be to pull out of the population centres like Baghdad in particular, and keep some presence in a base located in the "periphery". That way, when the fireworks start (and they could), US military will be well positioned. I would love for the troops to come home ASAP, I think the Iraq "war" was a mistake, but Ahmadinejad worries the hell out of me. Psychopathic little asshole. He needs to be put to sleep IMHO.
