What appalls me, beyond people dying, is that there are those who honestly believe this war is solely for noble reasons.

I'm willing to concede the world would be better of without the likes of Saddam Hussein, but I'm not sure a war, nor the deaths of many innocents, on both sides, makes the world a better place, either. Of course, the world would be better off if nations (others, as well as ours) would stop putting in power and propping up vicious dictators to further national interests, but that's another topic.

When we do attack I hope it is quick, decisive, and with minimal loss of our soldier's lives as well as Iraqi civilians. Here's hoping the Iraqi Army displays the same common sense they did in the Gulf and give up en masse.

And one more thing, please do not misinterprete my opposition to this war with opposition to our soldiers. I have the utmost respect and gratitude for those who are willing to risk their lives for my country past and present
