Well, I'm thinking that nobody in the Bush Administration or at Justice is going to want to say boo about Ms. Goodling until after she spills her guts and then it will be nothing but frantic damage control. Goodling, as I understand it anyway, has never been anything but a political operative and in some cases does not come across as too swift. It'll be pretty sloppy with her up on the stand and I'm wondering what kind of stuff her lawyer has been drafting up and advising her on. She would not have created this situation unless some major poop storm was brewing. To me, at least looking at appearances here, I get the feeling she split as soon as she knew what was happening, wrote out her three line resignation, contacted her lawyer, and holed up with no intention of talking to anyone until she is absolutely forced to. Perhaps she didn't want the expense of hiring a food taster and that's why she's hiding. At this point I think Bushco would like the next sighting of Ms. Goodling to be floating face down in the Potomac.

Of course this all makes for a pretty exciting tv appearance on C-Span. Come on by, I'll make popcorn! It'll be more exciting than a Tarantino film for ya...
