I just watched George Roy Hill's brilliant 1972 film of Slaughterhouse Five on glorious widescreen DVD. One of the few films that actually do justice to the original novel. If you've never seen it, or like me, if you haven't seen it for a long while, or if, like Gene's date, you don't read, check it out.
It takes less time than reading the novel and it has a lot of pictures....
