So Dale, it sounds like your solution (and GM's) is more guns: guns for everyone, guns for college students, guns for little old men in nursing homes, guns for soccer moms, guns for tiny tots. That way, the next time a "nutter" or those pesky black helicopters come around, we'll just open fire and let 'em have it.

But what if they have a bigger gun?... with a telescopic sight? Or worse, a silencer so we don't know where the shot came from? (I guess we could just shoot everyone in the vicinity to be on the safe side). What if they have a rocket launcher or a dynamite vest? Where can I get a dynamite vest? Doesn't the Second Amendment guarantee me the right to possess a dynamite vest?

This logic is ridiculous: an ever downward spiral into a "Wild Bunch" America with only the gun lobbyists and arms dealers coming out on top. It's amazing and incredibly sad- to me anyway- that we have a bottomless capacity for these kind of tragedies. I guess unless one of the kids was your own it's an acceptable price to pay for the right to bear arms. The kind of thing that happened in Virginia will continue to happen over and over again until the gun epidemic in this country is ended.
