First of all Green - I'm not a doctor. Second - why should I do your homework? Look it up. From statistics I've found gun ownership rates (per citizen) in the US are actually about twice as high as in Switzerland. And gun ownership per household is a third higher in the US as well. It is true that Swiss males between 18 and 30 take part in compulsory service, and if you subtract their weapons kept at home in case of a military call-up - then the rates of gun ownership per household drop to the point 6 times lower than the US.
