I found this poem, written today by Patti Smith, on her website. It reminded me that, even as we go back and forth about guns and gun laws and personal responsibility, there are thirty two families grieving heavily, unable to sleep, and unable to imagine what the course of life will be like for them in the days and months and years to come.
