I've known Pierre for a long time, and studied with him in the early 90's. We stay in touch, and that
has been a great blessing for me. His gigs are always great. And he was superb last night. The only
thing I find "missing" sometimes from his music is that he is too busy...there's too much clutter with
constant voice changes and amazing fingerings, but it detracts sometimes from the "groove". In
other words, he plays technically too well....overplays sometimes. I learn what I can from him and
incorporate the parts I can use into my own material. I've written a few songs in DADGAD, and it has
spurned me on to other tunings as well. good luck learning the stuff. It's actually not impossible, I know several of his pieces, but it's
painstaking. I do it bar by bar...I 've got Livre du Guitare (the first book) and Intuite (I think that's the
3rd book). Lemme hear ya'. Send some shit in to Dan, and he'll post it, Rascalnikov, I swear he will!Geno
