Ha! Little brothers, ya know...gotta keep an eye on those fuckers all the time...

Anyway, I have wondered if that line in The Crossing Guard was improv or that's what was on the page...I've always thought David just let fly and that's what came out...obviously he will do that at times as you have pointed out...plus I think that makes it much funnier having one guy just say something out of the blue to the other guy and catch the reaction...Penn obviously being a huge fan of Cassavetes...

Mess posted the whole "funny like a clown" speech below...it never gets old for some reason...
