I think you'll find, Kevin, that Bush and Co make Nixon look like a sweet little choirboy. And a highly intelligent and competent statesman, as well. (Which actually, all domestic failings aside, he was. Remember Nixon and China? Good job, Mr Nixon. You showed areas of real competence and courage. Too bad about that other stuff.)

But re Bush and Co, keep your eye on the long and winding road of indictments on the way. The singing trio of Delay, Safavian, and Abramoff are making some beautiful music, I'm told.

The Gonzales/US Attorney matter is mischaracterized as being about the firing of some US Attorneys. It's not about the attorneys at all. It's about what turning the Justice Department into the strong-arm wing of the Political Office of the White House. (aka Karl's Shop)
