I hope you have a great time and you have a good talk with your dad. We had dinner at this German restaurant he loves which is in an old farm house and is run by an older couple who has been doing it for years. The woman does all the cooking herself so it's like a trip to grandma's house...but in the Bavarian countryside. It's funny, my mom doesn't like when I talk politics with my dad. She thinks he gets too worked up. We have some great talks though and I love the fact that I can talk to him about stuff from the late 50's through the 70's and he is speaking from personal experience. I'm sort of stuck on that time frame for different reasons. We talked about Eisenhower, the Kennedys, Johnson, Nixon, the space program. Hell, my mom even jumped in at certain points to give her personal reflections. We talked about the present too but that's where things can get ugly because my father's level of disgust with things is through the roof. I talked to him about Sheldon Whitehouse though and that was pretty cool because he knew nothing about him.
