I like the idea he got that in there. Pirates is a film that will be seen by kids and adults so weaving that into the fabric of the film, even with a heavy hand, is kinda cool. I like pirate stories and really there is a lot you can draw out of them. I guess if you were a Republican you could write it all off as Hollywood commies taking every opportunity to bash Bushco...ha...pirates as the good guys being repressed by the evil corporate empire...but everything about the Pirates series of films is a hodge-podge of past, present, and future.
