saw xavier open for dan bern twice in alaska in 2003. he was great. great to watch live. i bought "to let" and have tried to buy all his stuff ever since. everything i've heard since has seemed lamer than "to let", though. "solace" and "food in the belly" seemed like they had a lot less of the guitar/didge/percussion that i liked on "to let". i don't think the songs hold up so well without that sound. but i'll buy "white moth" and see what he's up to.
