I’m not sure which one of your posts this is in reply to, something kinda recent with a link to an article about ours being a predominantly white country or the like.  Not exactly sure what my key point is either, but I scrawled it all down so I’m posting it; FWIW.

Disclaimer:  You should probably just skip it, don’t read it, because I ramble on and consume my own organs medium rare before I’m through.   It’s a shitstorm, a pity, and a bloodbath of hopeful nonsense & insignificant bohemian speechifying.  Trust me.

“…previously all or overwhelmingly white….”

Hmm, …that depends on how you define “previously”, GM.

Reflect in a sweatlodge with a Lakota Sioux sometime and define

“previously”, or foreigner, …or third world for that matter.

Manifest Destiny, Smanifest Destiny…!  Enough already.

‘This country is ours” as a result of conquest; a more arrogant people (your people, my people) taking the livelihood of a far less arrogant people in an age when all the best takings were ripe for the picking.  Those who traveled with superior weapons, ensigns, ledgers, a select & manicured-to-fit-gold-leafed tome in hand, & hate, ways of the very Monarchies [all throughout history] that invented &/or reinvented subjugation & demoralization as a means of winning lands and influencing people, …all kept close to the vest as momentary acts of human kindness played-open hearts & minds long enough to find the weaknesses.  Not the only mass murdering fckheads in the world, but some of most incomparable of them.  & their blood courses through our veins, just as the blood of those conquered peoples who did not know the ways of war & property ownership & swindle…does decorate the DNA of many of us, admit it or not.  Paradox.  Shee-whiz, GreenM, the history books are chock-full of the redefining of ownership by the grandiose forces of quiet desperation & superior armaments and the curly white-haired homogeny that wrote our Constitution…only to provide the very wily means, therein, for the moot morosites of modern day magisterialness to pillage out the best aspects of it today, tomorrow, etc.!

We, the people:  this country is no longer “ours”, never really was, I suppose, but at least there was room for us in it before & now it’s the playground & private property of a few conglomerates…& we…take up too much space.  WE are “the consumer” so the market is targeted towards us, the hoi-polloi, but not the prosperity, the health care, the laws, the viable workday, the recreation, the relaxation, the whole of the nation of plenty.

It’s really hard to know for sure who the biggest enemies to liberty are anymore. Do you?  In this country where we’re educated to believe the African people were the first slaves in America.  It’s not true, look it up, the first slaves to come over in the hulls of bastard boats were Scots, Irish & British convicts shipped to Virginia Plantationers (then, later, to points nearly off the map:  New South Wales, Van Diemen's Land, and Western Australia, more subjugation) & reassigned from one labor plantation to another until eventually the African slave trade became a better, more lucrative, deal for wealthy southern landowners.  This being conveniently left out of history books.  Why?  Well, yeah…why?  hehe….  Because they were “white”.  Cheap labor on the slyest of slys is key to mucho profits & excellent tee times, yeah baby!  …& poor rebellious redheaded & sunburnt Caucasian irritants to the Crown will do just fine…until it’s not kosher anymore.  So who now in the 21st Century?  The incarcerated, the middle-class-goin-south & the poor, stylish, spirited, eager & mostly easy-goin Latinos heading north.  Cheap, cheap, sly, sly.

I’m a proponent of nationalism, yes.  My country tis of thee and the flag of our fathers have always set well with me; …wore the uniform well enough from age 18-22; …can still get goosebumps when reading parts of the Constitution…or the writings of Jefferson, Lincoln, …Emerson, Thoreau, etc., etc., all Americana to me, but those most charged with upholding the Pledge of Allegiance & the Constitution are selling us all out to the unyielding money pipelines…much like they transplanted & sold-out the Lakota and stole their sacred mountain grounds and carved colossal Idols in the stone while gifting them with certain death via disease & alcohol spiked castor oil & meaningless treaties & waste dumps, …all the while claiming their resolute religiosity as key to humanity.   & pain was , as pain is God today.  There’s nothing spiritual about all the hate dogma. & it was a mocking travesty then, & the travesties continue to this day; same pretense, different landmasses.    RISK board dominance, strange bedfellows, deceit.  Progress lead to the digital theft & downspiral of the well-to-do recording artist…then to the iPhone…& what next?  Now we’re gona tax the already overburdened health insurance costs to the “middle’ class, hobble them just a little more to proliferate the flow of wealth up into the ethereal bodies of industry?  I believe you’re a patriot, GM, would gladly share a border with you right here, right now, …however, we’d argue for hours beside the good fire circle about who the blessed are.  WE, the people are all the skin colors of the lower 98%.  The most earnest hug I’ve gotten this week, outside of family and a friend or two, was from a forty-something black woman at the checkout register of a Cracker Barrel restaurant.  She said:  Did you enjoy your meal & will you be needing anything else today?  (Whimsically) I said I could use a hug, and, without hesitation, she smiled and wrapped her big arms around me with a generous depth of kindness; an honest sentiment between strangers and it was as if we’d known each other for years.  Just that perfect human thing.  We, the people.   WE, the faltering meaningful masses.

I’ve been reading some of the moving musings of a panelist/blogist herein who has been glad-experiencing a new personal renaissance of human illumination.  Much of what is being shared is about love & living in the now, …the past is behind and the new day is dawning, pain exists as a means to healing, & good lovin is just around the corner.  I take a deep breath of all that real good energy and it…is…so sweet.  But all of that becomes a non-issue if somebody drags my bag [by pulverizing my livelihood] or drops a bomb on my street to make room for sum morose new monstrosity of the damned and the dire.

It doesn’t have to be this way.  Most of the cures for health & humanity have been written by the greatest intellects, spiritual healers, poets & philosophers, composers, playwrights, filmmakers, the arts & sciences, the munificent sum total of all humankind since the early centuries, only to be deprogrammed for sake of increased sales; chained to the post for sake of gluttony, power, paranoia, mental illness & perhaps even inbred megalomania.  I don’t know…hah, it isn’t funny.  I do believe we can do better as a planet.  She knows it; you know it, but what?  …WE stew and thicken in the broth until it’s opaque with our cynicism and a loss of hope’s verisimilitudes and the good sun goes down without a fight, and the moon is a vampire’s kiss, and mama is the clock and papa consumes his young whole.  Look at the history of bad (badder, worse) leadership.  Most are mean-spirited, ugly, arrogant, unaffectionate, unorgasmic, people with only that one thing to do:  To tug-at shit until it hurts…for sake of ruthless abacus infatuation & control over the playground what once reviled ‘em.  Wrench and twist and pulverize and acquire.  Revolving, resolute, resoundingly tantamount to destruction, especially fcked-up, soulless, hair-parted just so, moneyheads with the incapacity to feel some flicker of genuine compassion for the blessings all around…this big ol’ beautiful place of creation & residence and maintenance & recreation and drunkenness & sobriety and love stuff & relaxation….

& it never had to be this way.

& she had fun, fun, fun ‘till ‘er daddy took the T-Bird away.

Well I say give it back.  Let ‘er have some fun again.

But no, probably not.

Although I don’t know?

As the fit continues to hit the shan…

could be the best of humanity

may rise to the challenge

& make things right.

…I can still hope.

Balance is key.

Peace & Carrots bro.

P.S.  Do your awareness a favor and go see Sicko.  I saw only the last half hour of it (because I couldn’t stay awake for Transformers) & the entire packed house applauded, teary-eyed, come fadeout.  Haven’t seen such an openhanded applause at the end of a movie in a long while.  We definitely are the waiting unknown, we the people of these disenfranchised states of liberties lost…but not dead yet.

Now…as with great victory comes great sacrifice, & I’m going to sacrifice a brain cell to

24 oz. of cold Killian’s in a chilled mug while I cuddle with my ocean-eyed better half.
