After reading the largest part of your last several posts (good grief Greeny), I’ve concluded that information (today) is not power, …it’s purist escapism.  Given the refute or counter-spin potential of all pertinent information, likely any meaningful truths herein & therein are moot, no?  The truth of a faltering wonder: This land is your land this land is my land?  & if so, then what, really, is there (for we, the people) to do?  Following much deliberation (& I know it’s only one cat’s thoughts ~~ far more ass-toot than astute), all words abound, listening to the most poignant lyrics &…deep-reading from some of the most enlightened people in print from the past century, I figure there’s very little that can be done.  When millionaires are servants to billionaires, referees more indicative of the game’s outcome than the players themselves (while also being in the pockets of the owners), what, if anything, is left to the meaningful works of democracy?

If our gov is run like big business now, our Constitution merely a document of corporate bylaws to be creatively rewritten (with relative impunity by the big tomatoes on the vine) whenever the notion is put to the test, business is war says Sun Tzu, then what’s the point of knowing the score when there’s apparently nothing that can be done about it?  Seems the only thing gained by all this information is sorrow, toil & impotence.  “...he who increases knowledge increases sorrow." ~Ecclesiastes 1:18  Not that I wish to trade passages with you, GM, I only know that & one or two others, ...but the speed by which you produce poignant dark potential realisms…it’s like napalm.  Wow, what a load to haul around.

Like the grizzled old bearded fellow in three layers of winter cloths, standing on the Valencia orange crate with the sign:  The End is Near.  Even if he morphs into Morgan Freeman as God, it still does little to nothing to change the dusk into dawn.  If the downward slide has hereby begun, why not post joyous articles about gardening and animal husbandry, Green. Then you’ll be using your admirable intellect & due diligence to gift tangible notions of stuff not just conceivable but wholly doable into our minds and hands.  So, when the fit does hit the shan, we can meet you near the wooded green summit of some perfectly cold winter runoff after we all take to the hills, & help you grow stuff.

I hope you take this post the way it’s intended.  I feel for your sorrow; no doubt, you must have great sorrow to be swimming in such bleak & dire information/disinformation.

Bummer, but if even half of what you’ve posted over the past year is fact, I don’t think we have any remaining recourse as a people.    If somebody does believe meaningful recourse still exists, please, …pretty please, now would be an excellent time to tell us about it.  ‘Specially you good folk with progeny.  However, if you intend to tell me to write my congressperson: please...save it.

[I just reread this post @ 8:45 PM & realize it might sound like some sort of suggestion or edict for change.  It’s not meant thata way.  More a casual observation than anything else.  These are odd & surly times.]
