Not nearly as disturbing, Pat. The Taser case appears (emphasis on appears) to have been an inexusable abuse of power from those supposedly trained to know better. The drunk driving case is tragic but in no way dissimilar to thousands of others. It was a huge mistake, but likely one not done out of malice. And the girls didn't have to get in that car. The invincibility of youth leads us to make terrible decisions sometimes, no?
But hey, that's why I don't drink. Probability of making that type of mistake goes down to zero percent. My only concerns are other drunk drivers and gun-wielding Venezuelan burglars.
