I have to agree with the post because it become obvious sometime when you call a top 40 station that it is the program director not the DJ you need to be talking to.
I firmly believe that it will be a combination  of several things that could
cause a spark. Like:
1. Apperarance by Artist on National TV - Leno, Letterman
2. Song getting into a Movie
3. Song getting to a commerical
4. Get on VH1 Behind the Music
5. Website promo and street time which would include:
A. Flyers
B. Promo CD's
C. Calling in to request play
Not every CD will take off like a rocket when released. It has only been 6 weeks since the release.
Frankly I do not listen to the radio much for music because I already have enough music that I check out on Amazon and such.

I want to know something here and anyone who checks out Amazon might have noticed this. How did Eva Cassidy come out of nowhere posthumously and consistenly place in the charts on Amazon for over a year now.  I think she got some TV coverage or something. I have to tell you I do not know because I have listened to some of this stuff and it is all covers and nothing special. Nothing bad about her but I just dont think the stuff is that good
