I believe you will shortly find that Ron Paul raised the most money of any candidate in the quarter past. Over 19 Mil, predominately in exceptionally small increments(by industry standards:). Of course, that will be largely ignored in the accredited media, so you may have to do a bit of scouring; should one happen to be out of the room during it's single cycle mention.Part of the reason Paul appears to be so far ahead is that his campaign is following an "up to the minute" strategy in releasing their fundraising numbers. FEC regulations don't require a campaign to report until 1/15/08. I'm sure this is part of Paul's strategy, as it makes it appear that he's got more $$ momentum than other candidates. He very well may, but his campaign has been very forward with publicizing his fundraising. As has been discussed on this board ad nauseum, healthy finances give the impression of a healthy, viable campaign, which in turn gives the impression of a viable president. As far as the MSM not covering it...it didn't take much scouring. Election fundraising info is covered by the FOI Act, so it's not to tough for even the most non-technical nitwit to find this, "accredited" or not, via "the Google".BTW, if you're referring to the Blogosphere as "non-accredited", you're on a slippery slope. Anyone can say anything in a blog with very little repercussion, so it's hard for me to accept that as journalism. Propaganda and opinionism, but not journalism. If you're not referring to Blogs, I'd love to see some examples of where you get your information so that maybe I can stop feeling like I'm busting your chops.http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/12/31/AR2007123102126.html?nav=rss_politicshttp://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/12/18/paul.fundraising/index.html?iref=newssearchhttp://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/12/17/paul.fundraising.ap/index.html?iref=newssearchhttp://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22304819/http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21814255/And the gamut of Fox's coverage:
