Greetings!

Regarding the SALON article about radio that Kevin posted, it all brought back memories about why I have given up listening to the radio entirely, as well as the reason why innovations like XM have arrived.

The problem with XM is the "boss" of programming and principal manager is a cat named Lee Abrhams, who in my daze of burning youth, programmed the local AOR station, 97 ROCK (WGRQ-FM) here in Buffalo.

So, you can forget XM, at least as far as I am concerned.

Also, the article mentions CLEAR CHANNEL, a multi-headed hydra of a music promotion company, and also probably the major player in the radio industry at the moment.

Check out the list of BANNED SONGS that CLEAR CHANNEL has posted to various websites, and you may come to the realization that this is nothing more than censorship, pure and simple.

So, if the radio sounds shitty, you have no excuse in not heading over to the CD store, and adding to your own playlist.

By the way, it is purely my own theory, but when David said recently, that there was no "market" for music such as his, I took it as code for:

"I don't have the BIG BUCKS behind me."

I have stated why I believe that was the case in my post regarding record company respect, or the lack thereof.

Peace -----> KDB - Buffalo, NY USA
