First, I have to admit, I have not followed this story closely at all, but a quick review of Pat's "research" shows some bizarre trends.For one, he is using the most common abused form of "reporting" by placing three links to conservative spots that use the same data examination as if he is locating three independent sources. Guess this could be called the "DrudgeReporting" method - in other words, it's okay to use a person as a source who repeats what one person claims, just because it has been repeated. Next, his links cite statistics by DOJ in a manner that even tell an incomplete picture in and of themselves, while using them to debunk the other numbers (for example, Pat's links use a blank murder rate that fails to include all factors in murder: race, location, population, et cetera, while just listing a simple race).Guess further examination is needed...
