You'd think with all our latest technology, we could increase radically the number of representatives thus shrinking the constituency of each and hopefully promoting more accountability. Simpler bills could be debated from afar and in writing via internet . . . possibly even voted on that way. A smaller percentage of time would be spent in Washington for more extensive debates such as annual budget meetings, etc. Why not 1500 reps, or 2000?
