This guy is a remarkable writer and quite the interesting of people.I'm reading Twilight after a bout of procrastination. See, over the past couple of years I've been sort of following the recommendations of a very popular American writer and after reading a few duds he had recommended, I bought this one and then set it aside and finally broke it out.It is Southern Gothic writing at its best. He can describe things like few others and describes the out of doors quite well. (The book is about an older boy who runs afoul of some nasty characters in 1951.)If you like Cormac McCarthy and Pete Dexter (someone I strongly, strongly suggest)you might give this guy a try. But be careful - there are two books out there called Twilight. One is about vampires and that is not this book.
