I scored that series, with Harlan T Bobo... Weird story, I was already on as composer, having done
series for them before...
The girl, after having been beaten savagely by the Rod Stewart-y dude goes back to her room with the
cameras following her. She grabs a teddy bear, curls up in bed, puts on her boombox, and just starts
crying and singing alomg with the music. The director, later, says, can you tell us the name of that
song, cause we'll have to license it. She says it's a song called "Born For Love", by this guy Baerwald.
Joe says "David Baerwald?", she says, "yeah." He says "that's fucking weird, cause he's the composer
on this show." Just an insane coincidence. One of the stranger ones. Good, if tragic series.
