Oh fuck, no!  I can't believe it.  I'm so old, I remember them live, and Noel (hair all fuzzy),looking pleasantly stoned and glassy-eyed, as he plugged his Fender Bass into a large stack.   I think I was about 14 at the time.  Hendrix was my adolescent hero, and still one of the greatest musical heroes of my life, if not THE greatest. 

I don't know whether to say "thanks" or not, Kyle, you are the bearer of terrible news, but I do appreciate the info.   Remember "Fat Mattress"?  Noels' short lived, but interesting group after Jimi. 

Last I heard, Mitch Mitchell was alive and well.
