Very little, if anything is incontravertible, if liberals and dems can screw up, so can conservatives, republicans, DNA labs, clerks, cops, D.A.s, criminologists, on and on and on . . . it is real easy to assume only criminals will be affected by a DNA database, and naive to believe only good will come from it.

To use a flip example, my gocery store tracks my purchases to "better serve me as a customer" and now I'm constantly barraged with junk mail, e-mail, and phone calls because they've sold access to anyone willing to pay for it. DMV, IRS, social security records, etc. have been compromised numerous times with terrible consequences. To assume this new database will be a panacea for good, flies in the face of logic. I'm not specifically saying, no DNA samples, no way, but a slow reasoned discussion of pros and cons is necessary . . . not just "won't affect me, why not" . . .
