Uh, Pat...I don't think this has anything to do with skin color, at least not for me. People who are voting for/against Obama strictly on the basis of race, are, well...stupid.
Well Eugene not so fast. First we have a boy born as a Muslim and brought into Christianity in a very slanted environment. I for one think that this has an effect on how he will govern if he were in power.
I think Obama is a brilliant and energetic young man. He says nice things, he inspires his constituents. He has charm and great charisma. I don't care if he was Chartreuse..my concerns are simply, can he lead effectively, does he have sufficient experience for the post, can he improve the country, will he be pushed around, is he someone who can address security concerns? I hope my fears are allayed, time proves me very wrong, and we move on.
This post almost reverses your previous post. I'm a bit puzzled. Did you drink 2 martini's in between :)
My main concern with John McCain is his unflapping pledge for a more prolonged Iraq situation. It is a failed mission...utterly, unless the "hidden" agenda was more malignant than I imagined, namely further annihilation of Sunni and Shia muslims in a protracted civil war.
And it could go down as Americas greatest tragedy if handled badly. And before you say it could not be handled more badly trust me it can be.....
