Thanks so much, everybody, for your kind words, prayers and thoughts.

I was a weeping mess when I wrote that, and probably, at least in the moment, in worse mental shape than Dan.  He is very interested in my artwork, and when we last met, I told him how disillusioned I become at times with my regular work, and how art was my greatest passion and release.  I send him photos of the art by Email, and that has really made him happy, so that gives both of us joy.
