I'm not sure which Photoshop you're using but if it's Elements do this...Image>Resize>Image size...then put in a value of 800 or less on the width. Somewhere around 600 should be fine.
If you're using Photoshop 7.0 do this...Image>Image size...then enter a width value less than 800.
