*** First problem - the gunshot and stab wounds that don't exist. ***

These reports originally came from her rescuers. If she had blood on her uniform I'd make the same assumption.

*** Second problem - If you are going into a hostle situation, why take a cameraman ? ***

The cameraman in this mission was  special ops just like the rest of the team. My guess is they wanted to film it and study it for future missions. Besides, every division in Iraq had an embedded team of reporters with them; and they were civilians. I just don't find this suspicious.

*** If it was a true story, it would be easy enough to prove - a couple witnesses from the hospital, a few expended rounds dug out of the wall - some evidence. ****

"Evidence"? "Witnesses"? You make this sound like a crime rather than a war.

*** WMD investigation teams leaving the country emptyhanded, it falls into a pattern of lies form the administration to justify the war. ***

So if honestly believe the army deliberatly planned and staged this rescue, then why wouldn't they do the same thing and plant or fabricate the "discovery" of WOMD?

*** Add to that the current proposal in front of the UN to allow the US to administrate the Iraqi oil for food program... ***

Great idea! According to the guy who was in charge of this program for the UN (a gentleman from Cyprus who was interviewed on ABC Tuesday night) while under UN control Hussein funneled billions of this money to build a soccer stadium, build additional palaces and line the pockets of Saddam and his cronies. The UN screwed this up royally. Hopefully the US can do a better job.
