When I first heard that shooting took place at a Unitarian-Universalist church, I thought it might stem from their traditional support for social justice/liberal political issues. This is the one quasi-religious organization that I have frequented in the last few decades. I found it odd that the shooter was angry that his food stamps were about to be reduced or cut. We all know that liberals take great pleasure in tearing the social safety net. Any institution that has counted amongst its ranks: Thomas Jefferson, John & Abigail Adams, Thomas Paine, Ben Franklin, Isaac Newton, Florence Nightingale, obviously cannot be trusted.
