We can't have cats in the house around here, owing to certain allergic reactions . . . but I grew up with about a dozen cats at all times (only a few were allowed in). So for years I missed cats.

Now . . . we have two, out in the garage. They can't come in the main body of the house, but they are essential, as the garage gets encroached upon by snakes and mice and other vermin.

They find the most hilarious places to sleep, one night ending up atop the red toolbox, another in the empty hose rack.

Wait . . . weren't we talking about Ron Paul here?
