I do agree that Obama is too civilized to participate in the usual mud slinging. I know many Americans are expecting him to roll up his sleeves to get down to the usual muck savage nonsense as set by the good old boy predecessors, but I applaud his consistency and composure. While I watched the whole thing, listening to every expected word, I left thinking that McCain has hands like a hobbit and Obama could have easily lacerated him with linquistics but is too polite and wisely so; he is walking gingerly, respecting his elders and McCain's veteran status.
