Couldn't have put it better.

This is a bit unrelated, but I've wanted to vent for a while on something that's been bothering me. I can't abide references to those in the "heartland" of America, and other rural areas, as being the "authentic Americans" who embody all of the values that made the country great. It's almost like if you have graduated from college, don't get dirt under your fingernails, fail to say grace at dinner, or shoot a gun then you aren't a worthy citizen. I exaggerate a bit, but...
