I agree wholeheartedly that if ACORN would pass those fake registrations along, then the organization gets what it deserves, but imagine how things like this work. Minimum wage jobs handed out to many and who are told the more names, the more cash. I think we both agree that rather than mere numbers, it should be something like verified, legal names and ones not on the voter rolls yet (that way someone can't open up a phone book and just start picking names out).

And the point you made about the electronic voting machines is a good one but I'm fearful there is more to this than the unit simply not being calibrated correctly.

Still though, I get back to on one hand you have someone adding a fictitious name that won't show up to vote and on the other hand you have a machine that is taking someone's vote and flipping it or adding more votes than voters. To me, it is not even a question of which is the worse of the two.
