Though he clearly has a taste for definitive-sounding statements, the author seems to have forgotten
or never learned a lot of history... Like the WPA, NASA, the WWII industrial boom, the TVA, the
Internet... all pretty government-centric items. We're clearly in an era of deficit spending, much like
post-Gilded Age Depression times, but to quote Mr. Obama, at least we should have something to
show for it, like a new set of industries and a functioning infrastructure.
