And the day has arrived. This will be my first time as an assistant-clerk at my precinct. To say I am nervous would be putting it mildly. But the day has finally arrived. Via early voting and absentee ballots, 30% of our voters have voted. A state of emergency was declared by our gov on Monday so that the polls could stay open 12 hours a day the rest of the week.
