Too many remasters these days are so overly compressed they're unlistenable on good equipment. A co-worker loaned me the Gabriel-era Genesis box set last week and it peaks out across almost all frequencies. Utter shite.Too many people listening to music via low-bitrate MP3's through crappy headphones have really reduced the expectations for what sounds "good".
