My ten cents worth:
To answer Dan's question, two instances that come to mind.... The SACD of Dark Side Of The Moon... That album was ALWAYS meant to be listened to in surround.... Just listening to the intro of Money on the SACD version will convince anyone of that.
Also, a year or two ago I spent a fair amount of Charlie Ash on the Paul Simon remasters..... I really thought they were worth it, warmer, clearer, and I heard subtle little things I had not heard before.
And I would definitely buy remasters of DB's material... bonus tracks or not.
