Pat. Find a toy plastic pyramid. Sit it on its base. Pretty sturdy, right? Now try to balance it on the pointy part. Not so easy to do, now, is it? That's what trickle-down Reaganomics has done to our tax base. A country of any size needs a wide, deep, healthy working and middle class to provide the basis for its' sturdy tax-base and economic pyramid. When vast and increasing percentages of generated wealth flee to the upper levels, well, the pyramid is going to fall over. OK, keep on trying. But it's always going to fall over. Always has, and always will.
