So, Pat, how many foreign led terrorist attacks were there on US soil PRIOR to 9/11? 0....do you forget that? (The prior attack on the WTC was not technically by "foreign" terrorists, still, if you want to include it, 1). 9/11 happened on Bush's watch and the right wing try awfully hard to lie about it to this day.Secondly, the two border patrol agents are far more complicit in their troubles and what the right wing - mostly the Dobbs' of the world would have you believe. For one thing, they knew they shot a person, destroyed evidence and lied about it. Honorable people tell the truth when asked. See, the right's use of this example falls under the use of examining the nature and character of the suspect in assessing blame. If the suspect is a turd, well, who gives a shit. Next, in the US there is a US Supreme Court case called Tennessee v. Garner. It was settled a long, long time ago and describes when a law officer can justifiably shoot a person. Mere fleeing is not one of those times (though I have to admit, I have forgotten the fine details of this case and can't recall if the border patrol agents were in fear for their lives or not).
