I've got no problem calling carpet bombing a terrorist act...calling an operation "shock & awe" seems to imply you plan to terrorize some people. Anyway, I'm not trying to turn the tables on Pat here and claim the Christians are the bad guys and the Muslims are the good guys or any such thing. I think too much religion seems to drive some men mad, regardless of who is doing the preaching or what book you're reading from.

The point, Pat, is your claim that Muslims should be offering public apologies or protesting in the streets for the violent acts of an obviously insane group of people who happen to also call themselves Muslims makes no sense. Did you protest or go around offering public apologies every time a group of people who claim to be Christians kill someone or do something heinous? A bunch of Southern wackos chain a "fag" to the bumper of their truck and drag him around until he's nothing but a bloody stump no bigger than your Sunday pot roast because they say his "lifestyle is an obscenity in the eyes of God" (as if they are God's eyes) and because you are also a "Christian" we should hold you responsible and expect an apology from you?

That makes sense to you?

Granted mankind has often given in to the loathsome temptation to round up a certain segment of the population because they found some of them "undesirable" and mark them for permanent incarceration or extermination...no need for examples here, right...but must we keep doing it?

Isn't that the worst of what we can be?
