No. You realize my response was to his post and not yours, yes? In short, it's clear that they broke the law, but it is also clear, very clear, that the 10-12 year mandatory minimum sentence for firearm use was not intended to cover law enforcement officers in the line of duty. Hence, Bush's commutation of their sentence (not a full pardon) seems appropriate.
