Excellent concert, @l (I figure it’s the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour, yes?), we saw it at LA Memorial Coliseum. Good show, far too big a crowd/venue but they filled us with Pink Floyd (lite) & then there was the kick ass interesting walk to and from the cheap parking we found up the road a way. BUTSon & I got so much more energy, real activist/artistic energy and pure depth of concert production audacity and excellence from Roger Waters’ most recent tour. He’s got all the junk, same as Floyd (lite), but he doesn’t just use it for all it’s worth, he manufactures the metaphorical antithesis to hell on earth…slaps the piss outa your brain pan & then sets you lightly back down in a comfy chair to reminisce. (Probably how TRIAGE could be if taken to that scope & size; vital, regalia, heart, angst, hope & fury.) & David Gilmour, with all his guitar perfection and a band to beat the band, will never, IMHO, have the heart and courage to “be the moment” like his (ancient) ol’ pal Roger continues to try to do. No way is this a slam on Gilmour’s guitar playing and shit eating grin, as both of those assets make him the Rock & Roll Knight that he will remain until all he is is remains, ………but Pink Floyd (lite) doesn’t have enough fortitude between the lot of ‘em (R.I.P. Richard Wright) to outdo Roger Waters & (the present line-up of) the Bleeding Hearts Band. Nope.
