I confirmed this info about David Paich on Steve Lukather's web site. It's still totally bizarre - the soon to be former guy's no spring chicken, as he is a founding member of the band. He turns 49 in a couple weeks (apologies to Andrea and Gene ;p )
The funny thing was the day before this bombshell, the band had announced that David would miss the tour due to "An extreme illness of a family member".
Preliminary plans for a Toto revival are now said to include reworking the song "All us Boys".
