First time posting here, but subject is too heavy to read only.I am repulsed that underlings from AbuGrahib (sp.) remain in prison considering that the president says CIA interrogators who followed orders will not be prosecuted. In light of recent disclosures, which place at the very top echelons of authority, the responsibility of approving and recommending that torture be used to elicit vital--save our ass--information, those still in prison should be pardoned immediately.Particularly onerous, and repulsive, is yesterday's news that the main reason torture was implemented to begin with was to elicit "false confessions", ala Chinese Korean War tactics, in order to establish some kind of connection, any kind of connection between Saddam Hussein and the people who attacked us on 9-11.Reciting the names Bush Rumsfeld, Cheney, and Wolfowitz has replaced my finger-down-my-throat "Roman" regurgitator.
