There's a lot of politics that go into those lists, Reg. As one who's traveled and done business in a bunch of Western European countries, I find it very hard to believe that their citizenry is somehow "happier" than much of the US. They are fine places, but this just doesn't ring true.
Fact is, almost anywhere in the world has its good and bad attributes. Just thank the Lord you don't live where I'm visiting this week: Saudi Arabia. I could go on but needn't.
