I'm pleased to have pointed you in the direction of The Flatlanders, Ed. Given that your post didn't prompt any responses related to Joe, Butch, and Jimmie, I can only speculate that their collective talents aren't known to many on the DBIS, or perhaps the appeal just isn't there. My recent and continuing praise for The Hold Steady was also met with silence. It's interesting how everyone who gathers here finds common ground with respect to DB's music, but then our individual preferences and passions often scatter in every possible direction.
